New Delhi, Apr 25 (PTI) A 26-year-old woman has alleged that a 'tantrik', who took her to Ajmer on the pretext of offering obeisance at a dargah, raped her there, police said today.

The incident was reported on April 23 to the police by the victim. She stays with her husband in Bihari Enclave in Aman Vihar.

The woman told police that she was not keeping well and was advised by her husband to consult the 'tantrik', who lived on the first floor of the building in which the couple lived, said a senior police official.

She approached the 'tantrik' for treatment and after performing some rituals, he told her that they would have to visit the Ajmer Dargah to pay obeisance. He also told her that he would 'treat' her there, the official added.

He took her to Ajmer where he allegedly raped her 15 days ago and also threatened her with dire consequences if she reported about the matter to anyone, he said.

After returning to Delhi, the accused left the rented accommodation. The woman subsequently approached the police and a case was registered in the matter at the Aman Vihar police station in outer Delhi, police said.
