Ather Energy has officially launched its new family-focused electric scooter, the Konarc, in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 99,999 (ex-showroom). Serving as the first production model built on the company's new EL platform, the vehicle aims to target high-volume family segments by prioritizing everyday usability, reduced maintenance, and accessible pricing over aggressive performance.
The scooter features a practical layout anchored by a steel unibody chassis, a flat floorboard, and a comfortable single-piece seat accompanied by an adjustable pillion backrest. Ather Konarc Specifications and Features
The Ather Konarc is offered with multiple battery configurations under its S-Line range, including a 2.1 kWh pack for the 100 variant, a 2.7 kWh pack for the 125 variant, and a 3.5 kWh pack for the 161 variant. Power output ranges from 4 kW to 4.7 kW paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 16 Nm of torque, achieving a top speed of 70 km/h.
Claimed IDC ranges span from 100 km to 161 km depending on the battery size. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic front fork with 90 mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 100 mm of travel, riding on a 1,352 mm wheelbase. Braking setup comprises a combined braking system supported by Ather's Advanced Electronic Braking System (AeBS). Pricing for the longer-range 200 km version and the Z-line variants will be announced later. The scooter is offered in four core colour combinations: Quartz White with Blue, Majestic Grey with Black, Celestial Gold with Blue, and Lumen Copper with Black.
