Mercedes-AMG has finally launched the fourth AMG product of the year 2018 in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.55 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The new AMG S 63 Coupe will be introduced in the country as a completely Built Unit (CBU) and will be retailed in limited numbers only. In the international market, the car is offered in Coupe as well as Cabriolet version, however, the Indian market will get the coupe variant only. As far as the design is concerned, the new Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe sports a panamericana radiator grille along with V-shaped cooling air vents that gives a liberated look to a performance vehicle. It also comes with vertical struts giving a spectacular look to the front profile. Moreover, a three dimensional front splitter comes with an aerodynamically shaped high sheen for reducing uplift at the front axle. Coming to the sides, the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe gets 20-inch light-alloy wheels as standard. At the rear, the car comes with revised apron along with diffuser insert and redesigned twin tailpipes.

On the inside, the overall appeal of the cabin is similar to the S Class sedan and it gets AMG Performance sports steering wheel, two 12.3-inch displays for the instrument console and the infotainment, Nappa leather with a host of colour, material and stitching choices. Moreover, it also gets about 300 LED units and 64 colour options for enhancing the ambient illumination.

Under the hood, the newly launched, AMG S63 Coupe comes powered by the new AMG 4.0-litre V8 Bi-turbo in spite of twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 unit. The motor is capable of making 612 Bhp of maximum power against 900Nm of peak torque and comes mated to an AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission. As far as the performance is concerned, the AMG S 63 Coupe can accelerate to 100kmph in merely 3.5 seconds prior attaining the electronically limited top speed of 300kmph.
