MG Motors India will be launching the new MG Hector SUV tomorrow in India. The British car manufacturer will be announcing the prices for its new SUV at an event in Delhi. The Hector SUV is brand's first product for the Indian market which will be seen in four variants - Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. The prices for the 5-seater premium SUV from MG Motors will be revealed tomorrow at 11:30 AM. The new SUV will be seen in 5 appealing shades - Candy White, Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Starry Black and Burgundy Red. In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 4,655mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,760mm in height, while the wheelbase and ground clearance stand at 2,750mm and 192mm respectively.
On the inside, the company will be incorporating a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Additionally, we will also be seeing other features like 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, cruise control, heated ORVMs and much more.
Under the hood, the MG Hector will be offered in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol mill will be a 1.5-litre unit capable of making 141 bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. The diesel will be a 2.0-litre engine tuned to make 168 bhp with peak torque of 350Nm. Transmission duties will be carried out by 6-speed manual as standard along with dual-clutch automatic option for petrol version. Moreover, the company will also be offering mild-hybrid variant.
Once launched, the premium SUV from MG Motors will compete against Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass as well as Hyundai Creta. Lastly, the SUV is likely to get a starting price of Rs 10 lakh and could go up to Rs 16 lakh (All Prices Ex-showroom).
