Built on the new platform, the new Santro employs about 63% of Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS) that adds rigidness to the overall body. To be offered with a single powertrain option, the new Hyundai Santro 2018 will be powered by a 1.1-litre petrol mill. The engine will be tuned to produce maximum power of 69PS against peak torque of 99Nm. The unit will also be coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
