The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched an official WhatsApp channel to make it easier for members to access important updates and information. The new service allows EPFO members to connect with the organisation through WhatsApp and access services including PF balance details, recent transactions and claim status.
EPFO announced the new WhatsApp channel through a post on X on September 13, asking members to join its official channel for important updates and useful information. The organisation has also shared a QR code and a direct WhatsApp channel link for members to connect.
How To Use EPFO WhatsApp Service
EPFO members can join the organisation's official WhatsApp channel and type “Hello” to begin using the service.
According to the information shared by EPFO, members can choose the option to receive messages on their registered mobile number. The system will then verify whether the mobile number used for the interaction is registered with the member's Universal Account Number (UAN). Once verification is completed, members will be shown menu options in a local language. They can select the relevant service, provide the required details or choose from available questions. The system can then respond directly or retrieve information from the EPFO database.
