2.0 has been doing some very pretty good business at the box office. We have already told you that the movie has made Rs 500 crore worldwide, though we also have to add here that these are gross earnings. Though the business of the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer is yet to achieve the kind of mania that SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 achieved, the movie has been raking in decent collections even in the weekdays. 2.0: Rajinikanth – Akshay Kumar’s Sci-Fi Film Earns Rs 500 Crore Worldwide – Read Karan Johar’s Tweet.
2.0 has fared the best in the South (even while battling accusations of inflated figures). In the Hindi belt, the movie has picked up really well as well. As it completed 8 days in theatres, 2.0 has collected Rs 139.75 crore at the box office, making the film Akshay Kumar's highest grossing movie of all time. It has beaten last year's Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, that had earned Rs 134.22 crore at the box office. 2.0 could also be Akshay Kumar's first film to make Rs 150 crore and if possible, Rs 200 crore too. Especially with Kedarnath getting an average response, there is a high chance for the movie to score well in the days ahead. 2.0 Release Date in China: Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar-Amy Jackson Movie to Hit 56,000 Screens at China Box Office.

Akshay Kumar had made his South debut with 2.0, that is directed by S Shankar. He is playing the main antagonist, and his performance has been appreciated by the critics, though there was also some criticism for the lack of screentime given to the character.
