Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan were spotted wearing blue jerseys as they cheered for Team India. The father-son duo's jersey had the names Mufasa and Simba written on the back. Since the Cricket World Cup match was coinciding with The Lion King's 25th anniversary, fans just assumed the jerseys is the Khans' tribute to the film. But today, a piece of big news changed the perception. Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan are coming together for a film. The live-action version of Disney's The Lion King.

As we all know the live-action remake of the fan favourite animated film is releasing in theatres soon. And to dub for the Hindi version of that SRK and his son have been roped in. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter handle.

Here is the big announcement about SRK and Aryan being a part of The Lion King

This won't be the first time Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan have been cast as voice actors for the Hindi dubbed version of a Hollywood film. Way back in 2004, the father-son duo had teamed up to dub for the animated film, The Incredibles. What a way to reunite after 15 years! But unlike The Incredibles, The Lion King will centre heavily on Aryan.

This would be our first proper glimpse at what Aryan brings to the table as an actor. While we might not see him giving the facial expressions, voice modulation is a big part of acting. Fans have been eagerly waiting for Aryan to make his Bollywood debut. Even SRK has hinted that it might happen soon. Seems like the moment is closer than ever, with Aryan bagging a voice role in The Lion King.
