Don't know if he is still interested in making the historical Battle of Saragarhi, Ajay Devgn is going full steam for Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. The National award-winning actor is playing the Maratha warrior in the Om Raut directed movie. Taanaji Malusare was considered as one of Shivaji Maharaj's bravest, greatest generals who help him the famous Battle of Sinhagad and expand the Maratha kingdom. All in all, a very interesting project for Devgn who looks for different subjects in his movies.

The latest update about Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is that Ajay will be collaborating with T-Series' Bhushan Kumar in producing the movie. The last time they joined hands together was for this year's Raid, which went on to earn Rs 100 crore at the box office. Ajay Devgn will begin shooting for the film, once he completed his work on Akiv Ali's yet-untitled romantic comedy and Indra Kumar's Total Dhamaal (co-starring Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Jaaved Jafferi, Arshad Warsi and Riteish Deshmukh). He will start the shoot from September this year.

Earlier it was reported that Saif Ali Khan has approached to play the antagonist's role in the film. Saif had earlier worked with Ajay in Kachche Dhaage, LOC Kargil and Omkara. There are also speculations that Kajol might play the female lead.
