IFFI 2019 just happened in Goa with a bang and the coveted winners' list is out! While everyone is busy congratulating each other for their respective wins, actor Amitabh Bachchan too grabbed this opportunity! The megastar showered praises on his Bhootnath Returns co-star, Usha Jadhav as she won Silver Peacock Award for Best Actor (Female) for acclaimed 2019 Marathi film titled as Mai Ghat: Crime No 103/2005. IFFI 2019: Taapsee Pannu Gets an Applause from Fans for Giving a Befitting Response to the Man Who Asks Her to ‘Speak In Hindi’.

The Piku actor took to Twitter to share pictures of the actress receiving the award. We can see her sharing the moment of pride dedicated to her parents. Also, in the other pictures, she shared the stage with actress Rakul Preet Singh and filmmaker, Aanand L Rai.

The film by national-award winner director Anant Mahadevan is based on a mother's 13-year-long struggle against the custodial death of her son. The flick received won three awards — Best Film, Best Editing and Best Cinematography at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival as well. Cinematographer Alphonse Roy is planning to remake the film in Tamil with actress Revathi in the lead.
