While Tanushree Dutta's allegations on Nana Patekar of sexual harassment continue to be a hot topic of discussion, several Bollywood celebrities including the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti, Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor have spoken in support of her. So, at the trailer launch of Thugs of Hindostan, Amitabh Bachchan too was bound to be asked the same question, considering he has been a part of the industry for so long. But when quizzed about Tanushree's accusations on Patekar, Big B dodged the question and said, "Neither is my name Tanushree nor am I Nana Patekar. So I don't know the answer to that question." Aamir Khan, who was also present at the event, said the matter should be investigated. Sr Bachchan got slammed big time on social media for keeping mum on the issue. Amitabh Bachchan: Neither My Name Is Tanushree Dutta nor Nana Patekar, so I Can’t Comment.

His latest tweet, we presume, has got something to do with those who have bashed him on social media for keeping quiet on the topic. He tweeted saying, "'Some people would be critical no matter what we do. Don't take it personally. It's more about them than us.' ~ Ef  कुछ लोग आपकी आलोचना करेंगे , चाहे हम कुछ भी कहें करें ! इसे ज़्यादा गम्भीरता से मत लीजिए - ये हमारे बारे में कम , उनके बारे में ज़्यादा व्यक्त करता है". Check out his Amitabh's tweet below-

This is not the first time Amitabh has refused to comment on an issue as grave as sexual assault. Earlier at a press conference to promote one of his films, Amitabh was asked about the Unnao and Kathua rape cases. He had then said, "Even discussing this issue feels disgusting, don't bring up this issue. It is terrible to even talk about it."
