Bollywood sure has been experimenting with genres from horror-comedies to erotic comedies to musicals but they haven't had much success when it comes creature films. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, producer Ronnie Screwvala's next will be a creature film which is to be shot in Thailand and will revolve around crocodiles. As per the report, the film may star Arjun Kapoor, Rana Daggubati and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The project is expected to go on the floors in early 2020. Arjun Kapoor Teases Fans About 'Mubarakan' Sequel.

The creature film will be helmed by Neha Rakesh who has also written the script. Given that it will revolve around crocodiles, the film is going to be high on VFX and hence the prep will take much time. Also, we hear the film will be completely shot in Thailand. This is the first time Arjun will be working with both Rakul Preet Singh and Rana Daggubati.

Arjun is all set to be seen in Ashutosh Gowarikar's period drama next. After going through immense physical training for his role, Arjun will be seen as Sadashivrao Bhau in Panipat which is all set to release on December 6 this year. The film also stars Kriti Sanon in the role of Parvati Bai. Arjun Kapoor to Star in Hindi Remake of Jayam Ravi's 'Comali'.

While we are still awaiting an official announcement on this creature film, it will certainly be interesting to see this genre in Bollywood. In the past, we have seen films like Vikram Bhatt's Creature 3D that didn't really work at the box office. With the right kind of VFX, this film could turn out to be interesting.
