John Abraham is not done with the thriller genre. Earlier he delivered a much needed hit this year with Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, based on the 1998 Pokhran tests that India had carried out. He will also be seen in the vigilante saga, Satyamev Jayate, that is scheduled to release on August 15 (clashing with Akshay Kumar's Gold in the process). The movie is directed by Milap Zaveri and also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma.

There is also Batla House, based on the Batla House encounter in New Delhi. The latest report is that John Abraham has joined hands with Nikkhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series to produce the film. Advani will be directing Batla House, which also marks his second film with John Abraham after Salaam-e-Ishq. The movie will begin shooting from September this year.

This is what trade analyst Taran Adarsh has to say about the whole deal -

Earlier in an interview to TOI, John Abraham has this to say about working in Batla House, “I have always been drawn to the intrigue and drama that real life offers — small events, big ones or a human experience that resonates with a larger reality. 'Batla House' is on point with this pursuit. I’m almost obsessed with it. I am aware of Nikkhil’s talent, but more than that, I am sure of his intent. 'Satyameva Jayate' has started a relationship that has been wonderful between Emmay and JA Entertainment. We will work day and night to make a special film. Bhushan Kumar and our studio partner, T-Series, understand our vision and I am hoping this partnership is the beginning to many more.”
