After taking the biggest of the year, Salman Khan's Bharat was going steady at the ticket windows up until now. On day 1, Khan's movie raked in a whopping Rs 42.30 crore and surprised many as trade pundits had predicted that the period drama would open around Rs 35 to 40 crore. Since Ali Abbas Zafar's much-awaited directorial venture arrived on Eid, it certainly proved to be an added advantage. Bharat then continued to perform well at the Indian box office as the film has had no competition whatsoever. However, Zafar's latest offering saw a dip in its collection as it clocked in just 7 crore on day 8 as per BollywoodHungamaBharat Box Office Collection Day 7: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Film Is Going Steady at the Ticket Windows, Earns Rs 167.60 Crore

With this, the total collection of Bharat now stands at Rs 174.60 crore which seems like a good figure but ideally, Salman starrer should have minted more money by now. Since there is no big release this week, the film will definitely continue to draw the audience to the cinema halls. It may even surpass the Rs 200 crore mark by the end of the second weekend but the question is - will Bharat sustain itself over the weekdays in the second week? Only time will tell.

Talking about the same, a report in Boxofficeindia.com has pointed out, "The weekdays are performing on the lower side  and there will have to be some consolidation on the second Friday if the drops continue like this and the big cricket matches coming in the way then it can turn out to be a big struggle post the extended first week." Bharat Box Office Collection Day 6: Salman Khan Starrer Surpasses the Lifetime Collection of Kesari and Total Dhamaal, Mints Rs 159.30 Crore

Well, if Bharat struggles to stay afloat next week then its highly unlikely that it will beat Vicky Kaushal's Uri - The Surgical Strike to become the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year.
