When the sequel to 2007's hit horror comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa was announced online, fans could not keep calm! While the original one featured Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in key roles, the revamped version (sequel) will see two new faces. It was sometime back announced that Kartik Aaryan will get into the shoes of Akshay Kumar wherein Kiara Advani will be seen opposite the lad. Having said that, speculations has been doing rounds from quite a while that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will also feature Khiladi Akshay Kumar in a cameo. But looks like that's not the case. Why do we say? In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the director of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Anees Bazmee has spilled beans on Kumar's cameo and well it's a sad news for the Khiladi ke fans. The 56-old year director in an interaction with the portal confirmed that Akshay will not have a cameo in the sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He said, "No Akshay Kumar doesn't have a cameo; this is a different film with a different cast. In an earlier interview,  Anees had talked about Kartik Aaryan playing the lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he told Bollywood Hungama, “We’ve finalised Kartik for the lead in the Bhool Bhulaiya sequel. I feel he has tremendous aptitude for comedy. At the same time he can look most vulnerable and almost childlike on screen just like Akshay Kumar.” This thriller is all set to hit the screens on July 31, 2020.
