The black buck poaching case that has Bollywood superstar Salman Khan involved in it has been ongoing since years. The Jodhpur Court has taken over the proceedings of the case and several times asked the actor to be present during the trial. Yet again, the judge of Jodhpur court asked about his absence at the court and has asked him to appear before the court during the next hearing. For the unversed, the Bishnoi villagers filed a complaint against the actor and his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-actors, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari in 1998. They were accused of poaching two chinkaras. Later, in April 2018, he was convicted by the Jodhpur court and sentenced him to five years imprisonment under Wildlife Protection Act. His co-stars were however, acquitted by the court. Salman Khan was then released on bail on April 7, 2018.

Now, during the hearing that took place on 19 December, 2019, the superstar's absence was noticed and has been asked to attend the next hearing. The date of the next hearing is yet to be fixed. Meanwhile, the 53-year-old actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Dabangg 3. Yet again, he will reprise the role of the fearless cop in this film, popular by the name 'Chulbul Pandey.' The Prabhudheva film is the prequel of first two installments. This is also a Bollywood launchpad for actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter, Saiee Manjrekar. Coming back to the case, it has to be seen whether the actor makes time to attend the hearing or not.
