Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has in it to bring Bollywood out of the closet. It is perhaps the first mainstream film in Bollywood to depict a same-sex romance, starring A-listers. With the trailers only hinting at it, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga also avoids protests from hard-nosed right-wing activists, as Deepa Mehta had faced with Fire. The movie brings Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor for the first time on the big screen, with Rajkummar Rao, who has worked with them in Fanney Khan and Dolly Ki Doli, also having an important role. We are watching Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga now and here's what he felt about the first half. All You Need To Know About Regina Cassandra, the Actress Who Plays Sonam Kapoor's Love Interest in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

"It's love at first sight for Sahil Mirza when he meets Sweety who gatecrashes the theatre practice of which he is a part of. He helps her run from her chasing brother. But he never knows the reason why. Following her back to her village in Moga, Punjab, Sahil finds out she is the daughter of a garment factory owner. Sweety's family thinks she is in love with a Muslim boy, and Sahil thinks it's him. However, he is for a shock when Sweety has a different secret to tell him.

The first half of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is short and easily watchable. The buildup of the premise is engaging and the characters are enjoyable to watch. It is a treat to see Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla work their charm with their performances. Rajkummar Rao is also endearing, while Sonam does her best to fit in with the character. With the cat out of the bag at the interval, it would be interesting to see where this unusual love story will take you."
