The movie has been directed by Sharan Sharma. It also stars Angad Bedi, Pankaj Tripathi, Manav Vijj, Viineet Kumar in key roles.

Gunjan Saxena's story is surely the one to be told. She was one of the two pilots, other being Flight Lieutenant Srividya Rajan, who was summoned during the Kargil war to serve the nation. She was honoured with the Shaurya Vir Award by the Indian army. We will eagerly wait for this story to unfold on the big screen.

Earlier in an interview, Gunjan had talked about her work and experience in the IAF. She had said, "One of our main roles was casualty evacuation. I think it is the ultimate feeling that you can have as a helicopter pilot… it’s a very satisfying feeling when you save a life because that’s what you are there for.”

Other than Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Janhvi Kapoor also has quite a lot of movies in her kitty. She will be seen sharing the screen with Rajkummar Rao in the horror-comedy, Roohi Afza.
