Farah Khan's Satte Pe Satta remake is quite in the news. The remake of the classic 80s Bollywood film starring Amitabh Bachchan-Hema Malini and a string of other actors was loved by all. The remake of the same is being planned and many names popped up in the process. While Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone too were a part of a list, it was almost confirmed that Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma will be in it finally. Now, the latest report says that while Anushka is retained, Hrithik has walked out of the film.
According to the report in pinkvilla.com, he expressed his reservations over the changed script and rights-feud between them and the makers of the original flick. Hence, as the script was modified, he apparently chose to quit the project.
A source told the publication, "The problems started from the time when Farah and Rohit failed to crack a deal with the original makers of Satte Pe Satta for the remake rights. The Sippy family refused to give away the rights at the price Rohit wanted to buy. They asked to the tune of Rs 2-3 crore, which the entire team felt was a lot. So, they instead got the remake rights for the Hollywood film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - a 1954 film that Satte Pe Satta was adapted from. Farah's film will now be titled Seven."
It can be a heartbreaking moment for the fans of the handsome hunk if at all the news turns out to be true. He recently mesmerized everyone with his charm and dance in YRF's War. His followers were expecting to see him in this comedy remake as well. It has to be seen which film does he choose as his next and who replaces him opposite Anushka in this rehashed film.
