The pre-release buzz around Kalank was also fantastic and the love saga even had a brilliant first day as it became the biggest opener of 2019 by raking in Rs 21.60 crore. Further, Boxofficeindia.com noted, "Kalank was pretty much flat on the third day which was a restricted holiday for Good Friday. The film hardly went up when it should have been going up around 30-40%. These collections were up in some places but some places were actually down where this holiday is not in play." Kalank Box Office: Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s Film Will Find It Difficult to Make Itself Profitable – Here’s Why
