Karan Johar's multi-starrer flick 'Good News' with Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar, which was expected to go on floors in December, is all set to hit the floors today. Yes you read that right. Kareena and Akshay's much talked about film 'Good News' starts today and just a couple of minutes ago, Karan took to the micro-blogging site to announce the good news, getting fans all hyped up for the film. Talking about the film, the initial shoot will begin with Kiara and Diljit in Punjab. Karan Johar wrote on Twitter, "#GOODNEWS starts today with @diljitdosanjh and @Advani_Kiara !! @akshaykumar and #KareennaKapoorKhan will join soon! Fun times begin under the baton of debut director @raj_a_mehta !!! @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18," further adding, "Proud of you @ShashankKhaitan for mentoring young filmmaker’s !!!! Stay blessed always! #GoodNews Starts today! @raj_a_mehta directs his debut film!"

Kiara Advani too shared a boomerang on Twitter, where she is seen with co-star Diljit, holding a clapboard and seeming too excited to begin shooting for the film. The post has been captioned as "Day 1."

'Good News' is a laugh riot, a family drama, in which Akshay and Kareena are playing a married couple and trying for a baby. Diljit and Kiara are playing the role of a Punjabi married couple trying for a baby as well. Helmed by debutante director Raj Mehta, the film, which will be a combination of drama and comedyis bankrolled by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. Kareena and Akshay starrer 'Good News' is slated to release on July 19, 2019.
