The #MeToo movement is gaining momentum in India. The recent name that has been accused of being a sexual predator is director Sajid Khan. Reacting to the news, he has been let go from his directorial duties for Housefull 4. Sajid has been sacked by main lead Akshay Kumar and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, as per a report by BollywoodLife#MeToo in Bollywood: Sajid Khan Asked Me To Strip Down and Seduce Him In Five Minutes Accuses Rachel White.

The report also says that Sajid "readily agreed" to step down from the position. A press conference will follow in which the official announcement will be made about the same. Yesterday, three women - Sajid's former director's assistant, an actress and a journalist - accused Sajid of sexual misconduct.

Earlier, Hindustan Times reported that Akshay Kumar had cancelled the shoot for Housefull 4 which was a one of a kind incident "in his 28-year career".

Although, let us not let the irony die here. The man whose alleged sexual misconduct started this movement in India is still very much a part of Housefull 4. The whole row began when Tanushree Dutta talked in an interview about how Nana Patekar misbehaved with her in 2008. In the meantime, Nana was shooting for the movie with the principal cast of the film. Much to netizen's fury. There has been no statement issued by the production house about the involvement of the actor. We hope the right decision is taken even in this regard.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, MAMI has dropped accused Rajat Kapoor's film from their upcoming gala. AIB's short film has also been removed from the schedule. Phantom Films has been dissolved. Vikas Bahl's name won't appear anywhere on Super 30 promotions. Netflix is contemplating whether or not to continue with Varun Grover as the writer for Sacred Games season 2. To name a few.
