This week two new films are arriving in cinema halls and both of them seem very promising. But unlike on Friday, the two Hindi releases are coming out on Thursday which is the Independence Day. Interestingly, the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan also falls on the same day this year. So in a way, it's a long festive weekend and that will certainly guarantee fireworks at the box office. Along with John Abraham starrer Batla House, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal is hitting the screens tomorrow. The film, based on India's Mars Orbiter Mission, also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kriti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in the lead. Apart from the impressive star cast, the trailer and promos of Mission Mangal have left the audience excited for the film's release. Since the movie is inspired by real-life events, the curiosity factor is also high amongst the masses. As for the promotions, the makers haven't gone all crazy to create buzz around the film which is actually a wise move. Because it's always better to let the work speak for itself and create magic. And when the content is good, it always ends up making the right kind of noise. That's exactly what has happened with Mission Mangal.
Till now, everything has worked in favour of the film and that will reflect in its box office collection as well. As per trade analysis, Mission Mangal will take an opening of around Rs 22 to 25 crore on Thursday, day 1. The patriotic theme will definitely help in boosting up the collections at the ticket windows in India, ensuring a solid first-day figure for Akki. His last release Kesari had collected Rs 21.50 crore on day 1 and Mission Mangal is expected to beat that figure comfortably. Another big factor why everyone is looking forward to the film is the casting. Vidya Balan and Taapsee Pannu are two powerhouse performers and Sonakshi Sinha, though is going through a rough phase, has a very big and loyal fan following. Kriti Kulhari has also proven her mettle and Sharman Joshi is returning to the big screen after a long time. As for Nithya Menen, the talented south actress is making her Bollywood debut with Mission Mangal and hence a lot of eyes are on her as well. Since Akshay's multi-starrer has all the ingredients of a successful film, we are pretty sure it will storm the box office from tomorrow onwards.
