And it's confirmed! Ranveer Singh will have Pankaj Tripathi as his coach in '83, directed by Kabir Khan. For the longest time now, there had been several speculations about Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the lead. However, it has now been officially announced that Pankaj will be playing the part. Meanwhile, Ranveer, who's last film - Simmba was a box office hit, has already started prepping for the movie. He recently shared a picture on social media where he was seen having the net practice. The movie is based on Indian cricket team's historic victory in the 1983 World Cup, revealed Kabir Khan in an interview earlier. The cast and crew will start principal shooting of the film in May this year in England. On when he will start shooting for '83', he said, "Our major schedule of four months in England will start from May this year and it will end on August. When asked if music is going to be important in his sports-drama '83', he said, "Music is important in every Hindi film. It will be an integral part of '83' as well.
