According to an exclusive report by Variety India, the producers finalised the domestic rights with Dharma Productions after extensive industry bidding and internal screenings. Producer Namit Malhotra reportedly showcased a 30-minute edited cut of the film to prospective major distributors and corporate studios before locking in the partnership.
The initial bidding and valuation discussions for the Indian theatrical rights reportedly commenced at a staggering INR 500 crore. However, after extensive negotiations, the deal was eventually closed at INR 250 crore for sole distribution rights across India. While Dharma Productions will steer the domestic theatrical rollout, Hollywood major Warner Bros. Pictures has already been locked in to handle the film's international overseas distribution.
