Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been a talk of the town ever since the announcement of his upcoming Salman Khan starrer Inshallah. Also featuring Alia Bhatt as the female lead, the movie is touted as one of the quintessential SLB movies. Now, the filmmaker has reportedly decided on the lead protagonist for his another film. SLB has roped Randeep Hooda for his next production. According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, the shooting for the movie is expected to begin from August this year. The reports further mention that the film will also mark the directorial debut of Balwinder Singh Janjua. The Randeep starrer will be shot against the backdrop of a small town. Balwinder has earlier written films such as Mubarakan, Firangi, and yet to release Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh.

Sources close to the tabloid informed that the actor will be donning the character of a cop and the director will soon begin with the recce.

The source has been quoted as saying, "Randeep plays a cop in the film which has a lot of twists and turns. Balwinder has been working on the script for a long time and recently started pre-production. Talking about Sanjay’s other film Inshallah, the Salman and Alia starrer has left the fans anticipate about the movie. While much has not been revealed about the film yet, Inshallah has still managed to make a buzz across the quarters.

On the work front, Randeep will soon share the screen space with Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal. The actor has played a cop in many other films, including Baaghi 2, Kick, Jannat 2 and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.
