Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif's Zero Poster Accused of Copying From a French Film!

On November 2, Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his 53rd birthday. It is also the day when he will show the world the first proper trailer of the much anticipated Zero. The romantic drama, also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, is directed by Aanand L Rai and has SRK play a vertically challenged man. Till now, we have had two little teasers of the film, as well as a couple of posters too. However, as the trailer date approaches, the makers have been unveiling more posters of the film. Zero New Poster: From Meerut to America, Bauua Singh’s Journey Looks Intriguing.

Well, one such poster has been accused of lifting the idea from a French film. Those who know Bollywood well, knows that this is nothing new. From content to songs to posters, Bollywood has often looked to 'outside' sources for influences. Anyway, the poster in question is the one featuring a 'short' Shah Rukh Khan and a comparatively taller Katrina Kaif, leaning in for a kiss.

A Twitter user pointed out that the above look is inspired by the poster of a French film, Un Homme à la hauteur (English title: Up for Love), starring Jean Dujardin and Virginie Efira. From the positioning of the leads in the poster and the colour of Katrina's dress, you can certainly draw some parallels here!

Un Homme à la hauteur is about a vertically challenged man falling for a taller woman, after they connect through a phone date. Hope the poster and the aspect of having a vertically challenged man as a protagonist are the only common factors between Zero and this French film!
