While he was giving interviews to promote Simmba, director Rohit Shetty hinted about working with Akshay Kumar in his next. Little did we know that Simmba will be the platform to launch the movie with Akshay. If you have seen the trailer, you know that the Ranveer Singh film is set in the same universe as Singham, and Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham is also making a cameo in the movie. Shetty also speculated that there could be a crossover film that would have Singham and Simmba in a movie. However, in an interesting development, Shetty's planned film with Akshay Kumar is also a part of the same universe. The movie will be called Suryavanshi. What's more, Akshay Kumar will be introducing his cop character from the film in Simmba, with a special appearance in the film. So we have two big cameos to look forward to in the film. Akshay Kumar even hinted at this when he tweeted the poster of the film -
Aala re aala #Simmba aala...Simmba releasing tomorrow, wishing #RohitShetty @RanveerOfficial #SaraAliKhan @karanjohar all the very best! This one is definitely gonna roar at the box-office. pic.twitter.com/UbCvZ7iESJ

While we are all for cameos, we can't help but rue the fact that the makers are taking away all the attention from Ranveer Singh, who is playing a cop for the first time. By trying to put two other superstars in the same film as him, it gives us the feeling that the makers aren't exactly being confident about Ranveer pulling off the film on his own.
Simmba, also starring Sara Ali Khan as the female lead, is all set to release on December 28. So what're your thoughts of having two superstars as cameos in the film? Also, does this mark the end of the animosity between Devgn and Kumar after both were trying to make their own movies on the Battle of Saragarhi?
