George Orwell ends his book Animal Farm by commenting on how it is tough to differentiate between man and animal. That is precisely the kind of world we are living in right now. The case in point, a stray dog was beaten to a pulp by guards of a posh building on behest of a resident, who wanted to set an example for other stray animals. The case has been brought to notice of animal lovers by Bollywood celebs like John Abraham, Sonam K Ahuja, Malaika Arora, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anushka Sharma (and the list is growing). The celebs took to their social media pages and share videos of the whimpering dog, who is now comatose in a hospital. PETA India Announces Sonam Kapoor as Person of The Year 2018 For Animal Advocacy Efforts.

This heartbreaking case of animal cruelty took place in Worli, Mumbai. The CCTV has captured the footage of the crime taking place. An FIR has been registered. But that is not enough. To build pressure on the system to deliver justice, a gathering is going to take place outside the Turf View Apartment. Are you going to be there? Kudos to the celebs who have come forward to lend their voice to the cause, hoping the people will make it count.
