Hrithik Roshan's latest outing Super 30 is off to a fantastic start at the Indian box office. After getting embroiled in quite a few controversies, Vikas Bahl's directorial venture finally released on Friday, July 12. Though the trailer of the film had garnered mixed reviews on social media, the film managed to impress the critics big time and received positive feedback. Especially, Hrithik's performance was lauded by everyone. And therefore it wasn't surprising that Super 30 took a double-digit opening on day 1. The biographical drama raked in Rs 11.83 crore on Friday and then on Saturday it witnessed a big jump as it minted Rs 18.19 crore. Announcing the updated figures, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and wrote, "#Super30 has a turnaround on Day 2... Witnesses super growth at plexes of Tier-2 cities and also shows an upward trend in mass circuits... Will score big numbers on Day 3... Eyes ₹ 50 cr [+/-] weekend... Fri 11.83 cr, Sat 18.19 cr. Based on the life mathematician genius Anand Kumar and his Super 30 program, the movie is co-produced by Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment. Apart from Hrithik, the biopic also features Mrunal Thakur, Varendra Saxena, Nandish Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
