Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 17: Ajay Devgn's Adventure Comedy Becomes the Second Highest Grossing Film of the Year, Rakes in Rs 141.01 Core

Indra Kumar's directorial venture Total Dhamaal is currently having a dream at the box office. Starring Ajay Devgn in the lead along with Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and few others, the film released on February 22 and since then has been minting money non-stop at the ticket windows. After becoming the fourth film of 2019 to enter the Rs 100 crore club, the adventure comedy is now eyeing to surpass Rs 150 crore mark in India. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#TotalDhamaal gathers momentum on [third] Sat and Sun... Emerges second highest grosser of 2019 [so far], after #Uri... Also, Ajay Devgn’s second highest grosser, after #GolmaalAgain... [Week 3] Fri 1.70 cr, Sat 2.76 cr, Sun 3.95 cr. Total: ₹ 141.01 cr. India biz."

He further tweeted, "#TotalDhamaal⁠ ⁠biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 94.55 cr, Week 2: ₹ 38.05 cr. Weekend 3: ₹ 8.41 cr. Total: ₹ 141.01 cr. India biz. HIT #TotalDhamaal benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3, ₹ 75 cr: Day 5, ₹ 100 cr: Day 9, ₹ 125 cr: Day 12. India biz."

Apart from Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi and Badla are also doing good business at the box office. While Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer is heading towards Rs 75 crore mark, Sujoy Ghosh's crime thriller which released last Friday, March 8, is already eyeing to enter the Rs 50 crore club in India. Badla Box Office Collection Day 3: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's Film Surpasses Opening Weekend Collection of Pink, Grosses Rs 27.38 Core.

Hollywood superhero film Captain Marvel also arrived in theatres last Friday and stormed the box office as expected. It grossed Rs 32.28 crore in just two days and will continue to make money going forward as well.
