After impressing us with some highly superlative performances in 2018, Vicky Kaushal is all set to play the main lead in the first Bollywood biggie of 2019, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Set around the aftermath of the 2016 terrorist attacks in Uri that killed several of our soldiers, the film is a fictional retelling of the surgical strikes that India carried out on enemy camps across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The First song "Challa (Maine Lad Jaana)" is a chest-thumping track about the valour of soldiers going into the battle with no fear of life. The song shows how Vicky's officer character, after getting the orders to prepare his team for the surgical strikes operation, trains his soldiers in physical and tactical combat. "Challa" is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with lyrics by Kumaar. Romy, Vivek Hariharan and Shashwat Sachdev have sung the track. Uri The Surgical Strike also stars Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina. The movie is directed by Aditya Dhar. Uri is about the 11 days that happened between the terrorist attacks and the surgical strikes.
Uri The Surgical Strike will be releasing on January 11, 2019, where it will be clashing with three other major films in Govinda's Rangeela Raja, Nargis Fakhri's Amaavas and Radhika Apte's Bombairiya.
