In the sequel, Sandhu plays Pinda, a childhood friend turned formidable rival to Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Hamza Ali Mazari). His performance is anchored by a viral confrontation scene where he delivers the now-iconic line, "Ghar di yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?"
To achieve the physical realism required for the role, Sandhu underwent a gruelling physical transformation. He reportedly gained and then lost 15 kg within a span of 45 days to portray both the younger and older versions of his character. Director Aditya Dhar and co-star Ranveer Singh have both publicly lauded his dedication, with Singh describing him as a "secure" and "invested" actor who remained in character even when the cameras weren't focused on him.
