DJ Avicii, one of the world's most successful DJs died in Oman on April 20 at the age of 28. The Swedish DJ and producer whose real name is Tim Bergling had committed suicide by cutting himself with broken glass. According to recent reports, the late DJ has left his entire £20million (Rs 1.78 billion) fortune to his parents.

As per legal documents made public by the Swedish Tax Agency, the artist's parents Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén will inherit their son's wealth. He had severe alcohol problems for years, and his friends worried those issues would result his end. Two years after his unusually early retirement, Avicii was on a visit to Muscat where he was found dead. As per Swedish law, the money will be automatically given to his parents as he is not married and has no children. He was also said to have had debts of  £8.42m (approx Rs 74,88,50,000) in the US and £73,430 (approx Rs 65,27,900) in Canada. His parents paid  off the amount. Avicii during his short career made a fortune and even in 2013 went on to say, "I noticed straight away when I started making money, that I don't need that much money." In just 2104, he earned USD 28million; he made USD 250,000 a night playing at events. He has donated millions to charity and hunger reliefs. However, the man was under high pressure as he performed 320 shows a year and would drink regularly to tackle stress and anxiety. He has also spoken publicly about his health problems including pancreatitis caused by excessive drinking.
