Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor will finally be seen in the same frame on 70mm. The actors have collaborated on a Bollywood drama that talks about a different kind of love. And after the promo of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga was out recently the team received a huge thumbs up for the sensitive portrayal of same-sex love. This movie helmed by Shelly Chopra Dhar brings together the Dolly Ki Doli pair of Sonam and Rajkummar Rao back on the silver screen. While we got a glimpse of how Rajkummar's character falls in love with Sonam, the latter cannot reveal her true feelings to anybody because of societal pressure.

In the trailer, we do not get a look at Sonam's real love interest. The movie borrows its title from Anil Kapoor's hit song from 1942 - A Love Story. Both the movies are backed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Thanks to Sonam Kapoor's new-age love story, Anil Kapoor's number Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga song also got a revamp. While Sonam and Rajkummar continue to be the faces of this story, we hear that southern beauty Regina Cassandra will play Sonam's lover in the movie. Considering that the portrayal of gay characters in Bollywood has most often been wrongly represented, ELKDTAL will be a step in the right direction.

The first song from the film is out now. And we are truly impressed by this title track. Not only, in the song, we see Rajkummar falling head over heels for Sonam, but we also see a romance between Juhi and Anil. Which is a sight for the sore eyes! But honestly, we would like to see the real love story of the movie more here. Maybe we'd have to wait till it's release.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga song is exactly how remakes must be like. It maintains the tonality of the original while giving an original and unique spin to it. Unlike many song remakes these days which are only made to cash in on the popularity of the old number. Full marks to music composer Rochak Kohli and his soulful rendition. Also, how can we not crush over Darshan Raval and his voice? He doesn't miss a note. His dreamy voices fill you up with positivity instantly. Gurpreet Saini's lyrics are the cherry on the cake.
