Avengers Infinity War has set a new milestone for itself. Already breaking records at the international box office, left right and centre, the Disney-Marvel movie has made a new record in some time. In a report by CNN, Infinity War has entered the billion-dollar club, and that too in a record 11 days, as per the box office sales provided by Disney! Star Wars: The Force Awakens did it in 12 days, but Avengers Infinity War will do it one day better. In both the cases, it's Disney that stands to be the winner.
As of now, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War is all set to cross $400 million in the North American box office. Even in India, the movie has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark, and there is every possibility that it might overcome Rs 183 crore collections of The Jungle Book (another Disney production), to be the highest grossing Hollywood movie in India, over the weekend. Moreover, there is a chance that Infinity War could also be the first Rs 200 crore grosser for a Hollywood movie in India!
Speaking more about its worldwide collections, Avengers Infinity War has become the sixth Marvel movie to make more than a billion dollars at the box office. The other movies that entered the club are The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther. It also became the second movie in 2018 after Black Panther to reach this milestone. In the process, it also beat the lifetime collections of other superhero properties like Justice League, Wonder Woman, Batman V Superman, X-Men: Apocalypse, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor Ragnarok.
Avengers Infinity War also holds in its records kitty the highest box office opening for any movie both in North America, as well as worldwide.
