It looks like Michael Bay is not going to be tired of the Transformers franchise any time soon, despite the diminishing returns. So Paramount Pictures, along with the maverick film-maker, is now going the spin-off way with a movie focussing on Bumblebee, the adorable yellow Transformer from the franchise. While the rest of the Transformers, hopefully, give the franchise a break, Bumblebee is all set to have its solo adventure that shows how his innings on Earth began before the events of the 2007 film.

The first official teaser trailer of the movie has landed and it show how Bumblebee lands in the possession of the young girl, played by Hailee Steinfeld. Steinfeld is known for her acclaimed roles in movies like True Grit (nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress), Begin Again and The Edge of Seventeen. The teaser gives us some glimpses of her camaraderie with Bumblebee that drives the movie. Then there is also John Cena, who fills in the role of the requisite army man, a staple in all Transformers movie. The former WWE star's movie career is on the rise after starring in hits like The Marine, Daddy's Home, Trainwreck, The Wall and Blockers.

While Transformers movies have often received a lot of flak for being just mindless CGI-laden action flicks, one thing going on for Bumblebee is that it is directed by Travis Knight. Knight had received much acclaim for his directorial debut, Kubo and the Two Strings, that was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Visual Effects, while winning the BAFTA for Best Animated Film.

So can Knight give us the best reviewed Transformers movie ever? Your guess is as good as ours!
