In a time when social movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp are gaining a significant foothold in empowering women, comes a movie that is definitely an inspirational tool to those who are fighting for woman's right to be as equal as the men. Felicity Jones plays the main lead in On The Basis of Sex, a legal drama that is inspired by the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The movie is directed by Mimi Leder (The Peacemaker, Deep Impact, Pay It Forward) and also stars Armie Hammer, Kathy Bates, Justin Theroux, Jack Reynor, and Sam Waterston. On the Basis of Sex to Open at AFI Fest.

The new trailer of On The Basis of Sex follows a young Ginsburg as she fights the inherent sexism in the constitution, and thereby the society, through the very means that could give her justice - the courts. Having seen The Theory of Everything, we know what a fine actress Felicity Jones is, and she looks to do complete justice to the character here, bringing the required aggression and grace in her depiction. Armie Hammer, who is in great form these days thanks to his performances in Call Me by Your Name and Sorry To Bother You, plays her supportive husband. The presence of terrific actors like Theroux, Waterston and Bates add more gravitas to the movie. Armie Hammer Wraps Babak Anvari's Thriller.

On The Basis of Sex trailer just knocks it out of the park in the final scene when a judge tells Ginsburg that there is no mention of 'women' in the US constitution. To which, she reminds them that the constitution doesn't even have the word 'freedom' in it. Ballsy, if true!
