Kedarnath is facing a spate of huge problems. The ambitious love story, set against the backdrop of Uttarakhand flood disaster, was supposed to be deal-breaker for director Abhishek Kapoor (Rock On, Kai Po Che), after the disastrous Fitoor. However, the movie has been facing a lot of production problems, with the major hassle being KriArj Entertainment backing out of financing the movie after producer Prernaa Arora had a clash with Abhishek Kapoor over the release date.

Now it looks like the director is also not on good terms with the lead star of his movie, Sushant Singh Rajput. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the project revealed, “Sushant Singh Rajput didn’t agree with the way Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) interpreted Sushant Singh Rajput’s character. They also didn’t agree on several issues regarding the script. There were constant tussles and heated arguments between the two. Sushant’s dates were also not used properly by Gattu. A lot of Sushant’s time was wasted. Now Sushant has left for Chambal in a huff to shoot for Abhishek Chaubey’s Son Chiriya.” Kedarnath was supposed to be the launchpad of Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh.

It has to be noted that it is Abhishek who gave Sushant his big break in Bollywood with Kai Po Che, that immediately pushed him into stardom. However they had a fallout when Sushant refused to play the lead in Fitoor. Wise decision for sure, but he did Raabta later, didn't he? However with Sushant agreeing to play the lead in Kedarnath, it looked like it was all rosy for the duo. Alas, this new piece of gossip just throws a spanner in their repaired friendship.

Coming to Abhishek's fallout with Prernaa Arora, the main reason was the director (who is also co-producing the movie)'s insistence on releasing the movie on December 21, thereby clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero. Prernaa wanted to avoid this, but Abhishek went ahead and declared the release date on Twitter.

With so many issues on the sets, we wonder if the movie can manage to meet its scheduled release date deadline.
