Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated her 37th birthday on July 19. The actress was with her fam-jam to ring in the day. The pictures from the grand celebrations are all over the internet. The actress wore a pretty sequined red dress and looked like a princess that she is. But what has caught our attention it one tiny detail in her look for the day. Priyanka paired her western look with a Hindu tradition; sindoor on her head. Vermillion is worn on the head by married-Hindu women. Priyanka could be seen with a little bit of red vermillion as well and she proves once again that she's the answer to Bollywood's favourite question, "Who's the hottest girl in the world?".  Our Desi Girl!

Well, one thing that has helped Priyanka become the global star that she is would be how she has managed to stay connected to her Indian roots. In 73 Questions with Vogue, she showed the camera how she always carried a shrine for Gods along with her. Right before cutting lemons for a beer for the interviewers. Priyanka has always cheered for India and the traditions even when she has been away in Hollywood. The latest example being her sindoor on a red dress. More power to you, PeeCee.

Did you spot this tiny detail in Priyanka's birthday pics? What do you think about the Desi Girl rocking a red dress with the traditional twist? Time to remember that Priyanka had two wedding ceremonies, one by Hindu traditions and one by Christian traditions when she tied the knot with Nick Jonas.

On the work front, Priyanka is onward to global domination. She will be soon be seen in Shonali Bose' The Sky Is Pink, with Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar. This will be her first Bollywood movie after Jai Gangaajal, which came out in 2016. Priyanka is also developing a wedding-comedy with Mindy Kaling for Netflix and is being backed by Universal.
