First off, Salman Khan is a huge star-and there's no doubt about that fact. But honestly, the Dabangg dude's stardom is not as widespread as that of a Shah Rukh Khan or that of an Amitabh Bachchan especially in the west. Sallu's popularity has a certain geographical limitation. While Amitabh Bachchan's fandom spreads beyond the Middle East and Russia. Mr Bachchan is equally popular in the mainland Europe as he is in the North America. SRK too enjoys an incredible popularity across Europe and US of A. And this is mainly because both Amitabh and SRK have done movies that reflect the quintessential NRI sensibilities and sentiments, especially in the recent past (you can blame a certain KJo majorly for that!)

In comparison, truth be told, salman Khan's movies don't exactly resonate with their subject matter or with the treatment with the populi in the west.  While Bhai's fans are peppered the globe over, not many ifrom western shores follow Salman Khan the way they do Shah Rukh, Raj Kapoor or Amitabh Bachchan's body of work. In that regard Priyanka Chopra can come in handy to spread Salman's popularity in the western part of the globe with the duo's forthcoming venture Bharat.

Yes, in his forthcoming film Sallu will be paired up with Priyanka Chopra. PeeCee, as she is fondly addressed, has carved quite an identity for herself. Firstly, she is the winner of the Miss World pageant that makes her internationally recognizable with a distinct identity.  Priyanka has also worked with the singers of the international repute such as will.i.am and Pitbull. for her solo releases She also went on to work  in the popular TV series Quantico that has firmly placed the 35-year-old beauty in the collective consciousness of  peeps from the not-so-explored territory for the Indian actors. The icing on the  cake was, of course, Baywatch the movie, that further elevated PeeCee's stature both as a celebrity as well as an actor who enjoys quite a fan-following

Naturally, Bhai has a good chance to make himself more popular in the west with the his forthcoming movie Bharat. If Priyanka chooses to promote it well in the US and UK, at least within Indian diaspora there, she can ensure good opening at the ticket window thanks to her loyal fandom. “Bharat it is! I’m looking forward to begin shooting this film and working with Salman and Ali again after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them in our previous collaborations and am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Alvira and Atul (Agnihotri, Salman’s sister and brother-in-law and film’s producers) and the entire team of Bharat. To all my well-wishers who’ve been so patient and supportive… thank you for your constant support and I’ll see you all at the movies.” said Priyanka in a press statement.
