In a major plus for the film, director S Shankar's upcoming magnum opus, 2.0, has been cleared by the Censor Board with no cuts. As per the latest update, the movie has got a U/A rating. 2.0 is the sequel to the 2010 film Enthiran and is a sci-fi thriller that stars Rajinikanth in the lead, seen in dual roles. Akshay Kumar, in his South debut, is seen playing the main antagonist in the film that also has Amy Jackson as the female lead. The reason why 2.0 couldn't get a clean U rating is that of the sci-fi violence and some scary scenes involving Akshay's character. Interestingly, Enthiran had been passed with a U rating, so was Kaala, the latter having been criticised for some of its really violent scenes. Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's 2.0, Yash's KGF and Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwaala Beat Shah Rukh Khan's Zero In Being 2018's Most Anticipated Releases on IMDB!

The makers have also revealed a new poster of the film that features Akshay Kumar looking like a Hawkman in there. With the tagline, 'a storm is coming', Akshay feels like a supervillain from some DC movie.
