Nithya Menen is predominantly known for her works in the Malayalam film industry. She has worked for Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi movies as well. The 50th edition of International Film Festival of India aka IFFI is being carried out in Goa, for which Nithya Menen is also seen in attendance. It was at the IFFI 2019 event Nithya revealed that she got into films accidentally. You’d be amazed to know about her field of interest. After completing journalism from the Manipal University, Nithya Menen pursued a course in filmmaking. The south beauty enrolled for a course in cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Nithya who wanted to pursue a career in filmmaking ended up taking acting after she met filmmaker BV Nandini Reddy, who suggested her to take up acting. At IFFI 2019 Nithya Menen spilled the beans on what kind of a filmmaker she wanted to become. She was quoted as saying, “I got into films very accidentally. My interest was to do wildlife films, be around animals and make films there. When I ended up here, it seemed unlike my personality. I was not fond of attention. Things like that made it difficult for me.”

On the work front, Nithya Menen was last seen in Mission Mangal, which also marked her debut in Bollywood. She lent her voice for the Telugu version of Frozen 2 for the character Elsa. The two Malayalam projects lined for her in 2020 are Kolaambi and Aaram Thirukalpana.
