Telugu film Jersey starring Nani and Shraddha released today and is already sailing high on audiences’ reviews. The movie is grabbing an explicit fans response and Twitterati is all hearts for Jersey. The first reactions have started pouring on Twitter and the majority are in favour of Nani’s brilliant performance. Helmed by Gowtham Tinnanurit, the movie was earlier claimed to be based on the life of former Indian cricketer Raman Lamba. However, Nani confirmed that the film was fictional. Gowtham Tinnanuri’s directorial venture also stars Sathyaraj, Sampath Raj, Brahmaji, Subbaraju and Ronit Kamra in pivotal roles. The movie is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments. The movie essays the story of a middle-aged man who is trying to rise as a cricketer. Earlier reports claimed that Jersey talks about the true story of former Indian cricketer Raman Lamba, who died a tragic death after being hit by a cricket ball during a match in Bangladesh in February 1998. However, Nani put all the speculations to bed and confirmed the film to be a work of fiction.
