This Diwali, it looks like Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is all set to steal the thunder and burst crackers along with it! His latest film, Sarkar, has taken off to a thunderous start at the box office, both domestic and international. The movie may not have received favourable reviews, but like the trend goes with a Vijay or an Ajith film these days, the public has made sure that movies like Sarkar turn out to be critic-proof. Sarkar Movie Review: Thalapathy Vijay's Diwali Blockbuster is Stylish, Sentimental And Entertaining.

As per early reports, Sarkar has collected more than Rs 30 crore in Tamil Nadu, with Rs 2.37 crore in Chennai itself. The correct figures are yet to be confirmed (some trade sources say that the movie has collected Rs 32 crore), but it is a given that the movie has got one of Vijay's best opening day figures if not the best. Even in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, Sarkar has recorded some impressive figures. Sarkar Full Film Gets LEAKED Online! Sarkar is a political thriller directed by AR Murugadoss and has Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female leads.
