Amitabh Bachchan is currently in Lucknow where he is shooting for Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo. The 76-year-old actor, we hear is taking special care of his diet these days. While in Lucknow, one would expect him to eat some kebabs and Nihari, but that is not happening. In fact, the megastar is keeping it extremely simple when it comes to his eating habits. The staff of the local five-star hotel where Big B is put up wanted to serve the best of Awadhi food to him, but their wish has remained unfulfilled so far.

The chef of the hotel has said that Bachchan is a frugal eater and prefers a glass of milk and egg bhurji' (scrambled eggs) for breakfast with no chillies. For lunch, he takes two or three rotis with plain dal and green vegetables. The actor is maintaining a safe distance from rice.

"One day he asked for paneer bhurji but he has never made any other demands. When he returns late from shooting, he prefers only soup for dinner. In fact, on some days he has only soup and avoids food," the hotel staff further said. While on the sets, he is not very demanding. "He never makes any request for a particular food and eats puffed rice and grams that are a staple food on the sets," the member of the crew was quoted.
Right now, we only wish we could follow this diet. But that chocolate donut on the table won't let us. Gulabo Sitabo also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.
