The actress was last seen in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, alongside Shakti Arora, but is currently on a sabbatical from work. Before you get way too excited about the news, let me tell you, Drashti is not joining the cast but will be coming as Gathbandhan's lead actress' character Savitri's special guest in the show. As the show will soon witness a Gudi Padwa track, to grace the festivities, Drashti will be seen giving a spectacular performance on the popular songs like Pinga, Fitoori, and Sapno Mein Milti Hai along with the lead actors Abrar Qazi (Dhanak) and Shruti Sharma (Savitri).

On Friday, we got our hands on pictures, where Drashti is seen dressed up in a traditional pink and green Nauvari saree, looking like a Marathi mulgi. Talking about her performance, Drashti, in a statement to Mid-Day, said, "I was extremely delighted to be a part of the Gudi Padwa celebrations on Gathbandhan as I got a chance to look like a proper Marathi mulgi. Dancing is something that I always enjoy and I couldn't deny it when I was approached for a dance performance on the show. I hope the viewers enjoy it, as I enjoyed shaking a leg on some of the most famous Bollywood songs along with the cast. I had a great time with the entire cast and crew and I wish the best for them."

On the personal front, Drashti tied the knot with her long-time beau and NRI businessman Neeraj Khemka in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Mumbai in 2015. The duo, who will complete four years of marital bliss on February 21, 2019, kept their marriage a low-key affair with only close friends and family attending it.
