Disney Plus is entering the market to give competition to existing Streaming Giants Netflix and Amazon. it makes its launch in the US, Canada and the Netherlands on November 12. On the same day, it will be available in India but there's a catch. According to the streaming giant, the movies and shows users stream will vary by territory, because Disney has rights agreements with other companies for much of its content. In India, Disney Plus' content will be available on Hotstar. For the uninitiated, Hotstar, a product of Star India, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Sources suggest that Hotstar will stream most of the Disney Plus content for the viewers as part of its existing subscription plans. Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that the company's online streaming service Disney Plus (Disney+) will be available on Amazon's Fire TV platform at launch. The Disney+ app on Fire TV will tie into Amazon's universal search feature, meaning that a user would be able to request specific shows through Alexa with commands, The Verge reported on Friday, Disney+ will be launched in the US on November 12, for $6.99 per month or $69 per year. Earlier, Disney said it expects to spend about $1 billion in 2020 on original content for the platform and $2 billion by 2024.
Like we said before, the Indian viewers can enjoy Disney+ content on Hotstar. which is available on Play store, Smart TV's and Amazon's Fire TV.

Disney also announced that the service will be launched in the remaining major European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and "a number of other countries in the region" on March 31. "Just announced: #DisneyPlus will be available in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain (and more to be announced soon) starting on March 31st. Please note: Titles may vary by territory," Disney+ tweeted on Friday.
