After some really high profile marriages in Bollywood this year (Sonam-Anand, Neha-Angad, Ranveer-Dipika etc) and Kapil Sharma’s wedding with Ginni Chatrath (scheduled for December 12), tinsel town’s very own Shweta Basu Prasad will also get hitched. The actress who got engaged in June this year, is all set to tie the knot with her director beau Rohit Mittal on December 13. Confirming the news to Bombay Times, a friend of Shweta's, revealed that the wedding will see both Bengali and Marwadi rituals as she is a bong and Rohit is a marwadi take place in Pune and that the pair will have a Mumbai reception as well. Interestingly, it was Shweta who first proposed to Rohit during a vacation in Goa, the pair’s friend told the daily. She also revealed that the pair who had been dating for the past 4 years, moved in 2 years ago and are now taking their relationship to the next level. Shweta received critical acclaim for her role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s 2002 comic-horror flick Makdee. She then went on to do prominent roles in films (Iqbal, Vaah!! Life Ho Toh Aisi and other Telugu and Tamil films) and television (Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Karishma Ka Karishma). However, the actress was mired in a controversy in 2014 when she was caught in a high-profile prostitution racket in Hyderabad and was sent to rehab for 6 months. Later, charges against her were dropped.
