Prerna put Shweta Tiwari on the map and the role went on to become not only Shweta's but also one of television's most iconic roles ever.

Shweta Tiwari's role as Prerna lasted 7 years long, after which the actress took a sabbatical, appeared as a guest on some shows and also did a reality show.

After Parvarrish..., Shweta again took a break and changed her course completely and took up her first-ever negative role as Bindiya in Begusarai. Shweta was lauded for her portrayal and she proved that she can nail pretty much anything that is offered to her.
